Challenge
This week, pupils are encouraged to notice and demonstrate friendship across the school community.
Pupils should focus on helping others feel included, supported, safe, and part of the group through everyday actions and interactions.
This may include inviting someone to join in, helping someone who is struggling, encouraging someone, checking in on someone who seems left out, or simply showing kindness in small everyday ways.
Pupils are also encouraged to remember that friendship includes how we treat ourselves, speaking to ourselves with encouragement and kindness when things feel difficult or do not go to plan.
Teachers may support this by recognising and reinforcing examples of friendship and inclusion throughout the week.
This can be revisited in class or in the next assembly to reflect on how friendship helped create a school where people felt connected, valued, cared for, and part of something together.
