Challenge
This week, pupils are encouraged to notice and demonstrate resilience in their daily learning and interactions.
When something does not go to plan, pupils should focus on what they do next, choosing to try again, ask for help, take a moment to reset, or learn from a mistake.
Each time pupils show resilience, they are encouraged to recognise it, this may be through a small “wobble” (physical or internal) as a reminder that they kept going.
Teachers may support this by noticing and reinforcing examples of resilience across the school and encouraging pupils to share how they moved forward.
This can be revisited in class or in the next assembly to reflect on how resilience was demonstrated and how it supported learning and confidence across the school.
