You are going to do a short role-play in pairs.

One person will act as the teacher. One person will be the pupil.

Each scene will start when the teacher says “Action” and stop when they say “Cut.”

Start with this scenario:

The teacher says:

“Can everyone help tidy up the classroom, please?”

In your pair, act out two versions.

First, a disrespectful response.

Then, a respectful response.

Think about what changes, not just what is said, but how it is said and what happens next.

Now(if time allows), swap roles.

This time, the pupil asks the teacher:

“Can you help me with this?”

Again, act out two versions.

First, a disrespectful version.

Then, a respectful version.

Think about how respect works both ways, in how we speak and how we respond.

If there is time, some pairs can share their ideas.
