So, now its your turn to play!
Before you get started, perhaps watch Gav’s video once more and note down the 3 types of Advisors needed and just how they offer advice. Have a quick chat as a class/group and make sure we’re all on the same page.
Next up, in small groups, come up with a list of ‘problems’ that people may need advice with. This could be around any subject areas at all. And remember, it’s allowed to be silly!
Now set up three chairs at the front of the class. One chair is the GOOD chair, one is the BAD chair and one is the WHAT?! chair. Now we need three volunteer pupils come up and take on one of the roles by sitting on the chairs. The chair determines the type of advice on offer.
In turns, choose one of the many problems that the class came up with and pose them directly to the advisors. They will need to be quick and be as creative with their thinking as they can be.
Be sure to let everyone have a turn. If easier, you can always work in smaller groups.
Remember, asking for help/advice is awesome. We’re challenge you to create a “help swap.” Anytime you want help write what you need on a slip of paper and place it in a shoe box or envelope. As a class, read the slips of paper aloud occasionally, and ask class members to provide the needed help or suggest useful advice.
