Now let’s practise asking for help in different situations.
Work in a small group. Your teacher will give you a scenario to think about.
For each one, discuss:
Who could you ask for help?
Would you need practical support, emotional support, or both?
What could you say to ask for help?
Remember Andrew’s advice: explain what you need and try starting with “I need help with…” or “I feel…”
You’re feeling nervous about a school presentation.
You can’t find your favourite book at the library.
You’ve had an argument with a friend.
You’re struggling to learn a new skill at a club.
If there’s time, choose one scenario and act out how you could ask for help.
