Pause for a minute and think about the ‘fuel’ you have put into your ‘sportscar’ today? How much of the food you have eaten today has been fresh, natural and good for your brain? Do you normally fill up your tummy with goodness – or do you crave sweets, crisps and fried foods? What if the fuel you put in resulted in you having better focus? How great would it be to have more energy to do the things you love?
Think about this last week and give yourself a score on the fuel you are putting in: 0 for poor choices, 1 for ok choices and 2 for GREAT choices!
· Name 10 things you have eaten THE MOST of this week. BE HONEST!!!
· Now score each of those foods:
Poor choice – score 0 (for example: fried food, sweets, crisps, pastries, sauces, fizzy drinks)
OK choice – score 1 (for example: for example: Bread, pasta, cereal bars, fruit juice)
Great choice – score 2 (for example: fresh fruits, salads and veggies, water, hummus)
·Measure up! What was your total score?
