A simple way to allow your class to do this exercise all at the same time is:
Ask your class to all turn away from you.
When they are all turned away, tell them which emotion they are going to show with their body and face.
Talk them through each body part they may change and each part of the face (e.g. hands, arms, eyes, mouths etc)
Say that on your cue they are all going to turn around at the same time and show you a freeze of their body in that emotion – like a statue.
Take a few moments to comment on all the different changes you see and allow pupils to see each other’s freezes.
Repeat with as many emotions as are appropriate for your class.
Now we know what these emotion look like, try discussing what they feel like.
