That which was once new, becomes normal. And that which becomes normal, can become boring… if we allow it.
It can be easy to settle into a bit of a comfort zone with school. After all you spend a lot of your time there. Day after day, week after week, month after month.
It’s especially easy once we get into second year. The excitement of leaving primary school and moving into high school is over. In fact, there’s now a whole year group of people below you in the food chain.
On top of that, the new challenges of exams and grades can seem quite far into the distance, something that a future version of you will face.
And so we find ourselves in this middle ground of uncertainty. Faced with this situation, a lot of people choose to fall into a lull, their energy and enthusiasm drops.
As you might imagine, this slower pace destroys motivation. And with motivation gone, goals are reduced to mere wishes.
