Wednesday mornings were Harris Tweed the Cloud Dog’s most favourite mornings EVER! This is because on a Wednesday morning, Harris went to Wednesday Club which was a place where all animals got together, played together, had snacks and played with toys.
Harris had an absolute favourite toy. Does anyone know what it was? (ask class for hands up and accept the first answer you are given) Yes absolutely his favourite toy was the _____!
This very Wednesday, Harris ran into Wednesday Club so happy and excited to see his friends and to play with the _____.
When he went to the toy area, Didi was there already playing with the _____. Harris waited patiently for his turn. And he waited and he waited and he waited. Didi could see that Harris was there waiting but she ignored him and continued to play with the _____.
Harris decided he would ask Didi for a turn as he had been waiting for a very long time now.
‘Excuse me please Didi?’ said Harris. ‘Please can I play with the _____ now?’
‘No!’ replied Didi and continued to play with the _____ while ignoring Harris.
Harris waited a little bit longer but Didi didn’t give him the _____ to play with. Then it was snack time and then it was time to go home. Poor Harris left Wednesday Club feeling very sad as he hadn’t played with _____ at all. He wondered if he would get to play with it next Wednesday, but he wasn’t so sure…
