Are you a lark, an owl or a permanently exhausted pigeon?
We are all subject to the bird within us. Working out which bird is in control its pretty helpful though. And it’s really easy to do! Just consider this question…
Tomorrow is your day off, no alarm, no work, no plans. Generally what time will you go to sleep today and what time will you wake up the tomorrow. From this you can determine the mid point of your sleep.
If your mid point is 3:30am or earlier, you’re probably a lark.
If your mid point is 5:30am or later your probable an owl.
If your mid point is somewhere in between you are probably a third bird.
Now you know which you are, have a look at this and make sure you are doing the right thing at the right time. If you aren’t… adjust your time blocks.

The majority of people are larks and third birds. We make the best decisions in the mornings and the worst decisions after lunch so schedule your high stakes meetings for the morning if you can. Because of societal norms, working days and timetables tend to suit larks and third birds better than owls.
But where you can take control of your schedule, do!
