Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. The Free plan gives you your own branded space, public publishing and a listing on Merve Explore — no credit card required. You only pay when you want the private side: gated content, enrolled learners and progress reporting.
What counts as public vs private content?
Public content is open to everyone — it is how new people find you. Private content sits behind access control: you invite people in (or approve requests), track their progress, and keep paid work paid. Paid plans unlock the private side.
Can I change plans later?
Yes — switch whenever you like from your billing settings. Upgrades take effect straight away; downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period, so you never lose time you have already paid for.
Do prices include VAT?
Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where applicable.
Can I use my own branding?
Every plan gives you a branded space: your name, your logo, your look. Want to go further? On select plans you can build your own experience on the Merve API using our Bespoke OAuth Client, with Merve Authentication handling sign-ups — so anyone with a Merve account can get started on your platform seamlessly.
Where is my data hosted?
In the UK and EU. Your content is yours — we never sell it and never train AI models on it.
Does Merve use my data to train AI models?
No — and we explicitly confirm with our providers that they do not use your data for training either. All our sub-processors align with our data privacy policy and are fully GDPR compliant.
How does the closed beta work?
Merve is currently invite-only. Join the waitlist and we will be in touch as places open up — beta creators get early access and a direct line to the team.
